This might be a really dumb question, but did they actually build it with clear plastic, or is that just a rendering to show what the bike looks like behind the plastic?

I think it's just a rendering, no build.
It's a cool visual for sure, shows how easily the CB11 can be made into a different kind of beast with relatively few changes. I find the vestigial tail a bit short, but I like what he did to stretch and square the tank.
