The CB1100 Community Forum

So the Honda top box, luggage rack, engine guards and Road Comet 1 came in from samurider on Thursday so I stayed up late getting it all just right. Here are a few pictures of my new bike (it has all of 4 miles on the odometer) with equipment before heading out on my first ride to work.

First time I'm sharing pictures here so if the links don't work, don't be surprised but let me know.









I think most of the time I will leave the top box off as I prefer the look of the bike without it. OTOH it was a prerequisite for my wife to ride on the back.

So it looks like images hosted on a public OneDrive folder don't work.

Well.....they do, but only from the original upload so it seems they are HUGE. You may want to try a different host....lol.

I posted them up on photobucket now so it seems they are working.
Thanks Randy. Yeah, I guess the original images off the Nikon are a bit on the large size. The photobucket ones seem to be sized ok.
By the way... that Honda luggage rack is a PITA to install, especially given Japanese installation instructions and my lack of understanding of Japanese. Not much room between the rear fender and frame for fingers.

Congrats on your new CB! She's a beauty. I agree that the top box does take away from the bike's lines but there's something kind of cool about having it on there. It tells everyone that this is a true utilitarian motorcycle, built with a purpose, meant to be ridden. Whenever people see a bike outfitted like yours, they just naturally think, "Whoever owns that, rides a lot." At least, that's what I think! And, if it gets your wife to join you on rides every now and then, even better. Well done.

Hey...no problem. It was a TAD on the large side. I just wanted to let him know that they COULD be posted from there, but that is was not advisable.
My only suggestion is to make doubly sure that you didn't over tighten any of the bolt that hold the windscreen to the faring. I managed to crack mine around one of the bolts, but it didn't show up until it was on and I rode it a couple of times.
