And the used market is low because as with just about any motorcycle, once you ride it off the lot, it depreciates 20-25%. That's just a fact for all makes (except maybe for a very new model and some H-D models)
I also find the "lot of leftovers" idea interesting as so many folks that come on this forum, looking for a bike, seems to express their frustration as how hard it was to find one, and how far they had to go to get it when they finally did.
