Out in the boonies?

... hot, cold, windy, raining, snowing, dark (all part of the experience for me)...however sometimes under extenuating circumstances I don't ride that far. Like last year, I took a ride when it was -2F and I only rode 25 miles. That was plenty that day lol.

If dropping a bike off for service at my local dealer that is going to require an overnight stay, I might only get in 10 or 11 miles that day although that is pretty rare. Once a year maybe.

If I ride 300 days in a year, 297 of those rides will be over 30 miles.
That would be 25 kilometres or so each way? I might be spoiled Ferret, but if I had no grocery store, pharmacy or public house within that radius, I would move closer to civilization.. Smile.

Seriously though - utilitarian motorcycle rides are still motorcycle rides!
You are correct rotor (about 25 + 25).

Not sure about you, however, to get out of Toronto's grasp to some meaningful riding, one needs to ride about one hour outside, or about 80 to 100 kms (62.5 miles on ye olde Imperialistic British scale) one way.

Compare that to say, um, uh, ... Montreal: They have it much better - maybe 20 minutes to see cows grazing.
Lol I have to ride maybe 1/2 mile to see cows grazing and you won't be to the end of my road yet. It's only about 7 miles to grocery store, about 15 to a mall. However I have to head west into traffic to get to either of those. I usually head east..away from traffic when I leave my road, plus the roads are curvier the further east you ride.
I’m grateful to live on the fringe of the DC metro. 10minutes and I’m in farmland, 30miles north and I’m on the border of the District. There’s also a fantastic road that’s non stop curves for about 5 miles only 15 minutes away, although you may need to contend with traffic.

VA ain’t so bad.
It's for lovers.
Half a mile, 10 minutes, or anything similar to that is bliss. Enjoy always.

Infranview is image display and manipulation software. Imgur, photobucket, postimage are all web-based sites to which you can upload photos. You can share links directly with people or through bulletin boards like this. Some other photo hosting sites like Google, Dropbox and Microsoft OneDrive allow you to share, but to link from boards.

Check out max’s tutorial on using Imgur http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=12717

By the way, from a user perspective, using a photo hosting site is preferable to reducing the size of the image and uploading it. First because the quality is better and you can link to a higher resolution image. Secondly, because some manage to reduce the image file size without reducing the image dimensions which makes some pages irritatingly difficult to read.

Thumbs Up Thank you for the info....

I am like 2 miles from this and everything is at least within 5 miles from me very convenient.
Ride to the store and back all the time.
