First long ride was 150 miles from home to Dahlanega up to Suches to Neal's Gap to Turners corner and back to Dahlanega. My wife joined me since my GIVI box and back rest pad came in.

How did your wife like the ride on the CB1100? Stock seats?
My wife and I both start to get sore after 2 to 3 hours of saddle time.

Did the CB do OK with its power/torque with two on board?
I have not taken my wife on the CB yet...hope it does as well as my old Ninja 900....

We both did great until the last hour. We made several stops on the first half of the ride and life was good. on the way home we did not stop and the soreness set in.
The power and torque were outstanding as well as handling through the mountain curves. Spent most of the mountain time in 2nd and 3rd gear.

Although I have only had my CB for a week I have ridden about 150 miles two up. The CB has so much torque even at low RPM that riding with a passenger is effortless. The CB has far more power than most touring bikes like the Electra Glide and it weighs a lot less than those bikes. Power wise, two up riding is a snap. Comfort on a day long ride is another matter and rides like that are best done on something else. Cheers.

I've done 100 plus miles 2 up and have to agree with everything said here.
The seat is fine for the first hour, starts to get a little uncomfortable during the second hour, and noticeably uncomfortable after that.
I've never used seat pads but they should help. I just hate the way they look on the bike. I'm going to try the higher seat at some point, although there are no guarantees it will be any more comfortable.
Max weight load for the bike is listed as 351 lbs. We are around 400 lbs fully geared up. Engine pulls fine even at low RPM, acceleration is brisk, handling is great, and suspension easily handles the excess load.

What higher seat? Do they offer a different one? I'm 6 FT tall, and the riding position is a bit cramped. A taller, thicker, seat could help that too. I put 60 miles on my new bike Sunday just tooling around town to strt breaking her in... and the seat did get a bit hard.

Webike has the more traditional seat on their site that appears to be taller. Big bucks however.

Honda is notorious for putting low GVWR rayings on their bikes. Hardly a Goldwing, ST or any other Honda out there that wont be over with 2 up and a little gear, unless driver and passenger are anorexics.
