i went to look at a job today for my company in brooklyn. growing up in the bronx, brooklyn was like a foreign country to me (hey mister, do i need my passport to cross that bridge?). but after working around the city for the last 40 years i have come to appreciate the boro. like a fine wine it has matured and grown with age. anyway, i ended up on the waterfront in the park and i took this photo of the cb1100 with the brooklyn bridge and freedom tower in the background.
i then rode across the brooklyn bridge and rode down to freedom tower to get a closer look.
it was a great morning.
Great images! Thanks for sharing your day with us.
Wow! I can appreciate what you mean. Was just in the city over Memorial Day week end. Had a blast! We try to go as often as possible. Outstanding pics - so cool!! Thanks for sharing!
Nice pics....So is it as dangerous to ride in NYC as one would imagine?
Great pictures. I can even imagine what its like to ride a motorcycle in NYC. YOu looked like you very close to the Freedom tower. Glad to see that building finally get close to completed. What is it like to ride up there?

i started riding in 2008, and ride every day until the temp goes below 40 degrees. in that time, i have been knocked down once, which kinda hurt, and i took off the door of a taxi cab when a passenger tried to get out on the traffic side, without looking. that one didn't hurt as bad and there was no damage to my fjr. in the city, there are a lot of people and bicycles going against traffic. the highways around the city are loaded with cars and trucks in a mad hurry and this is most challenging.
to get away, i usually head north into the catskill and adirondack mountains.

i'm sure that riding up here is not as challenging as riding in mumbai or bejing.
Great compositions Bronx boy.
one small suggestion though, next time if you could adjust the white balancing of the camera a bit to avoid that blue tint from the pictures..i guess the WB was at incandescent while you were shooting those pics outdoors which gave it the blue tint... ... well unless if it was your intention to add the blue, then its a different story altogether..
