Is anyone riding near Dahlonega, Ga. this weekend? My CB is in Florida but I'll be
up that way on my Superglide...

I'll be down at Rider's Hill about 1-2 pm. Leaving Waynesville, NC with a local group of Triumph (mostly) riders about 0930-1000 or so and, hopefully, down there in time for a late lunch at the cafe (if it's open this late in the season?).

At any rate, Looking forward to plenty of twisties down and back and a nice BS and tire-kicking session with some like-minded souls among the new Guzzi's, Aprilia's, MV's and Suzuki's...

ps - I will be on the CeeBeeEleven and my wife will be on her Beemer.
I had a great day riding from Cumming Ga. up to Suches for lunch at Two Wheels Only and then back south to Riders Hill in Dahlonega. I saw 6 CB1100's today, one heading north on Ga. 400 and the rest at Riders Hill. I noticed 2 CB's when I arrived at Riders... one owned by fellow forum'er (is that a word?) vfrpaul... Nice talking with you Paul. And the other one, I think, was owned by another forum'er petec. I did not meet Pete but he had responded to my original post saying he was coming down from NC with his wife who would be on her BMW. Both the CB and the BMW next to it had NC tags. As I was leaving Riders, 3 more CB's were arriving. This is definitely the place to see CB's.... I've yet to see any, other than mine, in Florida. Maybe now that the weather is cooling down, more of us will be out there. Hope so!

Yeah that was me with the NC tags; we were probably inside kicking tires or eating. Had a nice chat with vfrpaul and then talked some with one other CB'er (never got your name though...Undecided). Interesting that not one CB was stock...everyone just a bit different and individualized. It was really nice to see some other owner's in person though Beer.

Meant to take a few pics at Rider's but was completely sidetracked by people/new bikes/used bikes/food/mc gear/mc clothes/more bikes, etc....

Anyhow, Lois and I ended up with just a little under 300 miles for the day. Did a little side-trip up to Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA) as I had never been up there before and also stopped in to the newly renovated TWO in Suches. So nice to see it back open and, as always, so nice to see such a wide variety of bikes in the yard...it always was a great place to visit whenever we get down that way.

Pee break before starting down from Brasstown Bald:

TWO, Suches, GA (recommended stop for any North GA sojourn!):

Btw, gassed up coming out of Rider's with 167 miles on the odometer and it took 3.2 gals to fill it to the brim.

52 mpg romping through the twisties of N.GA... not too shabby!
