Today was round 1 of the 2014 season for the Hartwell Motorcycle Club held at the Broadford State Motorcycle Complex in Victoria AU. My friend Roachy has a son (Col) competing on his Aprilia RSV4 so the three of us (Roachy, Mick, and I) took a ride out to the track to watch some good old fashioned club racing.

Broadford is situated about 80 km north of Melbourne in the rolling hills that form part of the Great Dividing Range - a mountain range the runs down the east coast of Australia. The motorcycle complex has a mid length road circuit plus MX and enduro tracks. It's an excellent facility for club racing and track/ride days.

Col had a good day coming second however two more races tomorrow so another chance to win
Nice pics, Aussieflyer. Geez it's dry there. It is here too, although the odd trickle of rain means it looks a bit green.

Hope Col does well today, eh?
Sure would be fun to ride around on a track like that with a few close friends for grins.

That is quite an eclectic group, a Busa, a HD and a CB
Your CB looks good out and about. Great pics.

Cheers
Col finshed 1st for the weekend (2 x wins and a second place).

Congrats to Col. He must have a bit of talent.
rmack that would be a great idea, I will go on one of the days if the weather is clear, shall PM you.

Cormanus, Ferret - yep the young man sure us fast. Almost lost all his points for the meeting due to excessive wheelies after the final race ... those race stewards have no sense of fun eh!!
Looks like a great time. You fellows are fortunate to have access to such a fine track. Nothing like that around here. Thumbs Up
