I was playing around with the camera and editing last night and thought I would share a little bit of riding. Sorry if you don't like the music, the audio was very windy and annoying.

It helps to set the quality settings to 1080p in youtube. Looks too grainy otherwise.
Lovely countryside, Gary. Interesting perspective from the helmet-mounted camera.
Nice! I like that perspective better than some others. I couldn't tell by terrain where you were, thought maybe Indiana, or Tennessee and here it was Washington State. Thought it would look more old growth forest lol
Janis can sure wail can't she? Lol
Yeah, she can wail ferret. This was a ride not more than 3 minutes from my house so still kinda suburbish. I can't wait to get some good footage of the rides I like to do around here.
Thanks Cormanus, I do love it around here. I wanted to try a different perspective with the camera than the usual. I might try mounting the camera above the exhaust too and try to get some sound. It will be at least fun to experiment with.
Thanks for the comments guys. Ride safe!
yikes , big truck coming around that corner around 1:38, that always makes me pause....
did you say what kind of camera it was?
Yeah Hiker, the truck gave me a little adjustment jerk. The camera is a gopro hero3+. So far it's okay. The critiques I would have for the camera is that if you are taking pictures of anything in motion you must have lots of light. The battery life is dismal, about 20 minutes at full HD video for me. However they do make a battery pack for it and people have been getting about an hour with that. I am going to set it up to charge from the bike while recording down the road.
Nice camera set up! I'll put this on my wish list. I always thought I'd need a microphone mounted down my my exhaust outlet to get the full effect.

Wow, great vid and I liked the sound track. Nice road through pretty country. What were all the caravans (6:30) doing there?
I hope you don't mind me saying this. What I really did like was your style. Start wide, finish tight, avoid the head-on zone and buffer from oncoming. Perfect.
Cheers
I don't mind at all Pterodactyl, I take it as a compliment. I have a lot to learn but I try to ride in a position that gives me the most visibility.
The caravans are in a "camping spot" I was riding along a river just out of my sleepy town and there is what they call an RV park along the river complete with indoor pool and put put golf course. People lease a space to "camp" with other like minded RVers and spend some time out in the country. I personally camp to get away from people the general public but to each their own.
