Thanks for your PM on the ride Pauley ..
Fellas, Ill be out of the country and I have not been riding at all recently as I'm hanging out with the baby almost every free minute I have.
Have fun on the rider and hope to make it to the next one.
Cheers
Randy - sorry to hear about your incident but I'm glad you are recovering .. will PM you

Is there any interest in a somewhat longer ride? For fun I spec'd out a path in that Calistoga area that would be maybe a 2 or 300 mile round trip from where I sit at the south end of the peninsula, the basic idea is that it goes on 29 past Robert Louis Stevenson State Park, because there is a set of back to back curves there that look pretty cool on the map. That starts to put us pretty far to the north, though.
I also have something even further out like Shasta/Lassen on my wishlist, but I may have to be on my own for that, and I think that's too far for a one day round trip anyway. Sept. 13 and 14 would be a perfect and rare opportunity for me to make a stretch like that since the wife is planning to be out of town... otherwise I may have to hold off until next year.
If anybody would be interested in a one day out/one day back camp out though, that would be super awesome!

Hey PTM, thanks for organizing this.
A long day is fine with me. I'm in the East Bay so it's not as far up there and back for me. Any issues with maybe getting an early start on the day?
I rode Hwy 29 up to Clear Lake and Lakeport a few weekends ago. I remember those curves. Great road!
My brother and I are planning a weekend motorcycle trip at the end of August so I'll have spent my "away credits" with my wife for the time being, but I would definitely like to talk about something like one day out / one day back trip maybe late fall or early spring.

Early start is good for me! When I ride solo on a weekend I usually start at about 8 and get my riding done before the crowds show up.
Tentatively we could start in Walnut Creek then and go to Vallejo then up 29 to Clearlake area for lunch?
From there we could either take 175 to 101 and head back down to the Bay from there, or go back the way we came.. should be simple enough.

Yes to everything! Great idea - I love the idea of those destinations, PTM! A longer ride would be nice. No conflicts with the dates, either. Really hoping for the best for Randy, too.
