Todays ride was only 58 miles, just some nice country roads not far from home, but those roads cross some creeks which made for some cool pic opportunities.

Yep, very cold in Ohio right now

Great shots ferret! The frozen stream reminds me of a mountain snowshoe hike I did a number of years back. It was so beautiful. Being the southwest city boy that I am, I had never seen a frozen stream before. Very cool. Uh, cold.
Very cool, indeed. Smile
You are hardcore, Ferret! Brrrrrrrrr!

I rode to the airport last Sat. morning at 32F and it nearly killed me.
I just did a ride in nm on an st1300 and it was mighty cold too.

I like the pics of the stream. Nice ride.
It's great that you got out for a ride.
No riding around here with all the ice and snow.
Good pictures, Ferret. You are seriously hardcore.
OK another cold ride today..only 50 miles, but I went and searched for some pic opportunities which may entertain our warm weather friends. Took the scooter today. No electrics. It was quite nippy

Icy waterfalls..water seeping from the steep hillside down to a creek freezes creating these ice waterfalls

Close up...It really can be quite pretty

This tributary is close to and empties into the Ohio river. It freezes at a certain level close to the shore, the level in the river drops, taking water with it from the creek, leaving the ice high and dry

close up you can see where the water level has dropped and the ice has not

A culvert that runs under the road from the high side to the low side for water drainage, by end of Feb this will be a huge ice flow and mountain of ice on the hillside

Nice shots Ferret,I rode the DLX today only about 60 miles also. I just cant believe how gorgeous this bike is and how it is such a joy to ride, I just LOVE this machine.Biker
Great shots, Ferret. It's been very hot and humid here these past couple of days, so the pictures provide a bit of vicarious relief.

When I was in Europe a couple of years ago, I noticed people riding scooters with much of their body covered by what looked like a large blanket. They looked very warm and comfortable.
