Great report Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
I always enjoy your reports from down under now that I've been there.
I group ride a lot with the vintage bike club I belong to, but like you Cormanus, truth be told, I enjoy riding alone more. I'm free to stop and go as I please.
Thanks for the thread, gives me hope for some warmer days. Today it's low 30s with snow flurries, just hoping it doesn't stick. It's not "Hotlanta" today Smile
Thanks for this inspiring report.

Here there is still frost. However, I use the cold evenings, to plan an one week trip to Italy in April, 3500-4000 km.

I'm looking forward...
You mean you're missing Troy Bayliss' return to the Island! Well, hey, it's too far for me on the other side of the planet. Nice write up and enjoyable read as usual, Cormanus! Now if the three feet of snow will just melt a little around here...hmm...
If it's any consolation, fellas, it's raining here this morning and overnight the tropical low slightly to the north east has been reclassified as a cyclone. It's moving south west and we've been promised a good blow and anything up to 300mm of rain in a 24-hour period. There'll be no riding, but at least it won't be cold. 23°C as I write.

Hope your snow goes away quickly.
we got 3 more inches of the dreaded white stuff today. ugg another couple hours strapped to the snowblower and another with the snow shovel, and we are headed to -5F tonight with windchills to -25. I know that is a pittance compared to those in Mass, New York, Wisc, Minnesota, no & So Dakota.....but it stinks nonetheless.
Probably the last blast of winter, so cheer up! You could put a bounty on that ground hog!

one can only hope
Gotta ask, do you use spell check or does the spelling of your place names come naturally? They are not as bad as Hawaiian names, but I'm still a bit baffled by them. Tongue

And we don't have a proper "blea" tongue out gremlin. Sad

The ones I'm familiar with I can spell without assistance. The others I have to look up on the ma as many of them can't be found in the spell checker. Many of them are, I think, Australian Aboriginal names and they do take a bit of getting your tongue around.
