go on a trip with 3 guys, come back with 600 photos of everyone else riding, eating, having a good time and I am in 3 of them, and that's cause I asked someone to take my pic lol. Then 2 years later you look at the pics from the trip and it doesn't even look like you were there

Oh, haha! Still nothing from either Darryl or Jordan concerning photos. It looks like I may be lucky to appear in a reflection.

Thanks Cormanus! And, you've got that right. We're in a several years long draught that has left much of Southern California bare and dry. The hills in my photos, however, are all part of our desert and with the exception of a spring wild flower bloom, appear that way year round. Our local mountains have much more color and are quite nice. Even now.

Love the ride report MG. Been many years since I've seen those mountains. They have a raw beauty about them that is hard to capture in a photo but I think you did well.

Not being in any of my photos is the same problem for me.
I'm an avid photographer and am constantly snapping shots of everyone else and everything else, but I'm almost always behind the camera.
Like ferret said, lots of pictures, but it looks like I wasn't even there

Some of us make a deliberate decision to stay behind the camera!

And yet, from time to time, we are captured on film despite our best efforts. I'll never forget the day I first saw that iconic photo of you emerging from the woods at the start of one of your epic rides down under.

I finally did get copies of Darryl's photos and, sure enough, I appear in two of the over two dozen he took. In both, I still have my helmet on (I'll pass along your gratitude to him) and am clearly not the subject of the photos but more of an inconvenient presence.

I think you are right, MG. It looks like the subject of the pictures was the guy in the white t-shirt and flip-flops. Next time wear some cargo shorts to attract Darryl's attention
