Good evening, Gentlemens,

My name is Ilya. I live in St.Petersburg, Russia. Today I came back home from my office. My wife went to business trip and it was nothing to do at home. Wether was good and I remembered that I promised to tell to members of our club a little bit about my city. So, I've took the key of my bike and went to the city.
"Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste..." Wink

So, its me. Nice to meet you!
Firstly I decided to go to Palace Square.
Behind my bike you can see the Winter Palace. Russian Tsars and their families lived there. Let's say, it was a winter residence. At summer time they lived out of the city.
And this is a Alexander column. It was build in a name of victory in a war against Napoleon in 1812.

Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. Particular on this place Tsar Alexander the 2nd was killed by the bomb explosions, used by terrorists in 1881. Ordinary people were very saddened by this and collected money (ruble by ruble) for the construction of this temple in memory of that Tsar.
great pics. thanks for posting them!
I finished my ride in small cafe, had cup of cappuccino and tiramisu.
Next time I will continue. There are many places to show you. Have a nice evening, Gentlemans!
