About 100 miles from my home in the town of Portsmouth, Ohio is a place called the Scioto Ribber or "Ribbers" as we call it. Not only are the steaks special being 16 oz, cooked outside over hickory fires with a couple of sides and some great sweet tea, but the routes to get there and from my house run thru the Shawnee State Forest. A maze of perfect curves for nearly 200 miles. With perfect weather forecast for today and the colors beginning to turn it was time for a "Ribber Run". In addition in Portsmouth they have a Mural Wall that is just awesome. Over 1/2 mile long a series of giant murals painted on the flood wall lining the Ohio River. Two great things to visit when you are in town.
