No, I did not get rid of my beloved 1100. I've been commuting on her every day. However, I walked into the dealer the other day and the rest is history...

Congrats Rob. The newest of the new. So what's it like? A ride report is in order.

It feels so much thinner and lighter than the 1100. I'm in the break-in period so I'm running it in standard mode, but acceleration is effortless. The ergos are great with the mid-controls and upright seating position. Needs bar end mirrors cause I mostly just see my broad shoulders. The engine sounds amazing, but the factory exhaust is on the hit list. Steering input is immediate, so responsive. This is definitely a different beast. Can't wait to get her up in the canyons.

several members on here expressed strong concerns of the power curve on this thing, with the general impression being that it might have been badly designed, with odd dips in power delivery at certain intervals. All that's theoretical armchair engineering though. i'm really interested in hearing a detailed description of it from a rider, once you get it out of standard mode, of course :-p.

i made a short testride any weeks before in our nearby hills......... I am now completely spoiled with the upright seating position from our CB.....so i am not hot for this neo-cafe CB....
and for my country here it has to much power bcos the radars allaround and behind every corner ( max 50ml/h allowed outside villages/towns...)
for everyday life and dayloops i miss the possiblity for luggages.....i hold nothing from saddlebags and backpacks
