280 miles ridden so far this week.

Ohio's most notorious OHP. Their motto is "Over 9, you're mine", but not today.... He was escorting a wide load and couldn't leave

Couple nice curves

This is a sharp, sharp left hand curve in a valley turning uphill in Warren County on St Rt 350 in SW Ohio. Curvy hill going down to it, curvy hill climbing back up out of it. Impassable for trucks although they often try (ignoring the big signs on each end) and get stuck with their undercarriages on the road trying to make this turn. They have to shut down the road and bring in giant tow trucks to get them out. In this valley is a huge zip line attraction and a canoe livery. On top of the hill on one side is the Fort Ancient Earthworks and Indian Museum.

Some blue hiding up in those gray clouds

The mighty ST during a hot tea break by Stonelick Lake about 50 miles north/east of Cincinnati

A great set of curves there ferret and the ST, for all it's weight, acquits itself well on such roads. Looks like fun.
It really is a superb motorbike redbirds. Too bad Honda has chosen not to update it in 13 years, drop it from their model line up, and not replace it with anything.

I love my Honda's. Motorcycles, ATV, car, and truck.

If they don't do something, next one (last one?) might not be a Honda though.
The VFR1200X could be the start for a fine sport-tourer. A bit more weather protection, lower seat and some good integrated luggage, voila! So outfitted, I would guess it's wet weight to come in 100 lbs under the ST and with the dual clutch option and that great V4-a real contender.
Just looked at a Youtube video from Germany with a VFR1200 on the Autobahn. Top speed, 268KPH or about 165mph. Bike weighs 490 lbs ready to ride. Pretty quick I'd say.
let me add a few from todays' ride. Back to perma-gray! The CB needed some lovin so it got the call

Rode down to the dealership to talk bikes with Salesman Steve, Joel, BJ, Mike and the owner Tom. This is Tom. Know him since he was maybe 13 or 14. Mrs and I used to cart him around. Now he owns the place. Nationally ranked motox racer and seniors champion. Anyhow I bought my FZ-1, My ST 1300, a Majesty YPV 400, 2 CB 1100s, and a Rancher 420 with snow plow from Tom. One of these days I'm hoping to get a deal.

Just seems so desolate without clouds and leaves

Great photos and narrative. That's the first thing I noticed, the lack of foliage. Not something we see a lot of here in OZ. On the positive side Spring will come, blue skies and warm days arrive, new buds will appear and that glorious mass of fresh green will follow. Gives a nice sense of the progression of the seasons.

Those corners look like a good ride was had.

Cheers

I've noticed that about a lot of the trees in Australia. They turn beautiful green in the Spring, then about the middle of Summer, they all go up in flames. I think I like our system better Cool
I should have mentioned the shop is Beechmont Motorsports in Cincinnati Ohio and they have a black 2014 on the floor and a used 2013 coming in on trade soon ( on an NM4 of all things) if anyone is interested 513-752-7540
Well shot, Ferret! Thumbs Up
Took this pic on todays ride.

Here's why there are no shadows. There is a sun, but it can't get thru the gray clouds
