Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a backrest for the driver? I ride alone and think it would be more comfortable for me.
Corbin seats can be ordered with a driver's backrest.

Check a couple of the seat manufacturers. Saw a motorcycle back rest advertised a while back that was basically a larger diameter pvc tube covered in vinyl/leather that strapped down behind the driver and provided a stable back rest as well as storage. Looked better than my description of it, geared more to the cruiser crowd but looked like it would work fine.

My riding buddy uses a gear bag strapped to the passenger seat.
