EmptySea, There is so much to see in this country we live in. Time to get out and explore and go on an adventure. Even where you live those roads beckon you.
Enjoy the day, Russ
Here is a series of photos (Ferret style on the fly). Starting from the gorge overlook down to to the Columbia river.

Guth instructing some of the troops on the decent.

I probably could have spit and hit the road below.

Getting everyone in the shot was challenging given the kinkiness of the road. Slow cages helped.

A little challenging keeping up with these guys riding one handed. Gotter done though.

I have 10 gigs of video from lunch at Parkdale to almost into Portland. My problem is that I know nothing about video editing. If some one has the expertise I would gladly mail them a flash drive.
Kevin
Kevin, I can help you out with the video stuff if you'd like. Due to equipment complications (I think my first battery ran out of charge early on) I didn't get any video while on Highway 35, so I'd really like to see yours.
Ok Guth PM me a place to send the flash drive. I don't think it would be feasible on my end to send ten gigs over the internet. I could be wrong though. None of my video has sound I wish these little cams had the capabilities to turn the sound on and off on the fly.Big Grin

Another video from when we were making our way back to Portland yesterday afternoon. In my initial post I mentioned a guy hauling a hot tub down the road during our ride. It was a pretty large hot tub and kind of a weird thing to see when you first happen upon it.

I also got a chuckle out of the dog that you can see at the very end of this clip. He looked fast and as slow as I ride, I'm guessing that he would have had a good chance of catching me if it wasn't for that fence, lol.

Done.

By the way, I'd say you did a pretty good ferret imitation when it comes to those shot-from-the-saddle images. Nicely done!

Smart guy, your brother. Keep us posted on when you decide to follow through with his advice.
Fun videos!
Awesome shots and video. Looks like it was a good time.
I had a great time meeting and riding and eating with some of the best Oregon has to offer! While we were finishing lunch, Pdedse had an interesting idea--possible get togethers for working on the bikes. The thought of learning how to do a valve inspection/ adjustment came up. Don't know if anything will come of it, but I have made use of some of the "How To" knowledge in this forum.
I really enjoyed sharing stories with everyone and hope to meet-up again soon.
Here's more pics of the trip.

Thanks again Jon for making the trip down from Seattle to ride with is. It was great meeting yourself and the others . We'll see if anything comes of the "tech day" suggestion, but I think that it could be really useful.
