Hi Ferret, I always enjoy your posts, good reading and pictures.
I took a trip down the 555 earlier this season and agree completely with your assessment. We left from Zanesville and followed the entire length of it. The northern most part of it was not much fun. It certainly doesn't live up to what we had heard about it. Not only the blind turns but we found some gravel in a few of them just to another element of surprise! The southern part was good but there are better roads around it. We stayed in New Martinsville, WV and rode a lot of the same roads you were on. It's great riding not too far from home, for sure!
