I had a very nice ride with some friends in the Alps (Austria, Italy, Switzerland) in September - but one day was a bit snowy

LOL cool (pun intended). That looks like fun to me. Are CB1100's the majority in that group?

Unfortunately not, we had three BMW and two CB 1100 (but one BMW rider owns a CB 1100 too). Needless to say, two out of three BMW had (minor) technical problems, two out of two CB 1100 had no problems
And yes, it's was fun

Those conditions are extremely dangerous to ride in. In fact, too dangerous for me.
