Am finally getting away for my annual 2-wheel tour. Last year was coast to coast. This year decided more of a north-south western states thing. A bit hot, but doable. Got new oem handle bar grips ... what a difference. Hope to use tapatalk to post some photos of interesting places .... are there any interesting places in west? Are you really going to just ride the interstate? I mean, maybe that's your thing, but ... there are TONS of better riding roads out there. Two-lane highways, secondary roads and scenery galore. What are you riding, a rocket?

If you zoom in on that map link you shared, you can see all the other doable roads you could consider.

I've driven almost everything on your map, I5, I90, I15, 20, 191, all but a little on your North / South Dakota loop and would rather cut my wrists then just drone away on an interstate...

101 north of Crescent City is way better then taking I5 north through Oregon... and the road around Olympic National Park is cool, as are many of the other routes you're going to blast on by, but if you've got to have maximum distance and speed, then the freeway is the way to do it.

Left this Sat 8/17 morning. Spend night in St George UT .. head to Idaho Sunday. Is mucho flippin hot on western roads.
