That's like a castle for 'merican's
Django, when you get ready to ride through southern Utah, give me a couple of days notice. I'd love to meet up with you and ride together for at least part of the way. It's only 3.5 hours from St. George, UT to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. I've stayed in the cabins on the north rim. Good lodgings and great riding. The north rim is less crowded than the south rim. Plus, the North Rim Parkway is in national forest, so there are not a lot of towns/intersections to worry about. The Kaibab plateau and Jacob lake are really beautiful in the summer.
I wonder if the West Coast Rally might be intergrated with your plans and ours. The dates and coast are similar. Just a thought.

@LongRanger: While I'm not really decided on the route, I thing, I will
cover South Utah and South of Colorado, then go down from there to
Albuquerque or Amarillo, to go east bound.

@Houtman: Thank you very much for this generous offer. I'm looking
forward to meet you next year.

@Roper: Thank's a lot for the hint about the Grand Canyon North Rim! I really
would appreciate to ride in good (your) companion. That said, I would like to
meet any forum member to companion me on my way. You meet the nicest
people on a Honda, why not in real life...

@Jonz: If I could join the West Coast Rally? That would be really great!
As I can foresee right now, the week June 18-23 would fit for me. Then I
would already be 2 weeks in the US and come up from south. For location,
I guess, I couldn't make it up to Oregon. South of Utah or Colorado
would fit best into my plans. But I'm only one person. It's your Rally,
choose the best place for YOU.

I guess, when I really start to plan my route, I'll come back on you
guys with more questions. I think, this forum is the best travel guide
in the world to do a motorcycle trip across the USA!
Django, I am in the DC area and will be glad to help you deal with the transition on this end. I can help sell a bike if needed, and I can get you to and from whatever places/airports/etc. that you need. We have a bed as well if you would like to stay for a couple of days and see the sights. Just PM me if you have questions or thoughts or requests. Meanwhile, enjoy the planning!
Doubt you'd be in Ohio but it goes without saying you have a bed here. Conversely if the timing is right I can ride to the Smoky's or whatever and meet you and ride a bit.
What a great place is this forum?

Isn't it?!

@Inhouse Bob: Your help certainly would be very appreciated. Don't know how to thank you for that offer. Planning will take some time, then I'll pm you.

@The ferret: Would be a honor for me to ride with you. May be, we have a mini rally in the Smoky's or somewhere underway...

That would be awesome Django
Ferret, you should try to get to the West Coast rally. You and Django could meet there.
