Has anyone tried using something like a separate handle kit? I really like the low and closer in look it can give, but I'm not sure what the clearance would be or how difficult it would be to install.

I've been considering that mod myself, in spite of the $1K cost. It does look cool, but I'm concerned about whether it takes away or adds to the vintage look of the 11. There are just too many mods to make/too many $$$ to spend. I'll probably do it down the road, but a new exhaust comes first; seat second; and I MUST find a way to get spoked wheels w/o spending that much $$$$ on the set webike offers.
Aesthetically speaking, those bars would go perfectly with the small aluminum fairings that a few folks here have mounted on their CBs (and vice versa). Classic cafe racer look. Don't think my back would care for them, but the overall look would be totally in sync.
My end game plan is to have the bike all black with aluminum or chrome accents. It is a pricey piece for sure so if I'm going to be spending money I may also do the exhaust first as well.
I noticed with the AGRAS kit that it has some notes associated with it:
* Brake hose length is Standard caliper for.
* Clutch cable do the changes of the mounting angle of the Banjo. (Air removal work is required. .)
* Cable and is available and other leave.
* A genuine Brake hose is not available.
Not sure what all of it means. Can anyone else decipher badly translated Japanese and know what all of that means?

One would think, in this day and age, that an accurate translation would be common place. I mean how much could it cost to hire a translator that knows something about motorcycles? Lol

Not a fan of clip-ons and such, myself. I think a set of low-rise bars turned slightly downwards is more appealing and period-looking for this type of motorcycle. But it's your bike, man! Make it happen and post pics -- maybe I'm completely wrong and I will love the look. =)
I plan on it making it happen! If it doesn't look good I'll just go with a lower set of bars and save the separate kit for another bike someday.
