(06-15-2013, 02:25 AM)justinrhenry_imp Wrote: [ -> ]I ordered this seat and luggage rack on 4/22, two days after I bought the bike. I finally received it today. I would have had it two weeks ago, but it sat at the post office because they didn't leave a notice that they had attempted to deliver it.

Anyway, I installed both right away. The seat was easy. I just had to transfer a couple brackets from the stock seat. The rack was a little more complicated, but really only required removing 4 bolts and wrangling it into place.

I'll give my impressions of the seat after I have a couple weeks on it. For now I just went for a 2 mile jaunt to check it out. It's definitely flatter and seems slightly wider than the stock seat. The foam is nice and firm. I think I'm going to really like it, but it's too soon to tell.

I take it that is the lower 15mm cozy seat?

Good question. I have no idea.

Apparently the Cozy seat is offered in two different heights. Compared to the stock Japan market seat (775 mm or 30.5 in), one is 15mm higher (790 mm or 31.1 in) the other is 30 mm higher (805 mm or 31.7 in).

By comparison the seat height for the stock OEM seat in North America is 20 mm higher (795 mm or 31.3 in).

Obviously the wider width of the Cozy seats will also have an impact on the overall ergonomic effect.
I'm not sure which height I got and most of the literature is in Japanese.
Manufacturer: Daytona

It appears the cozy seat on Webike is the taller seat, model 74922, and is the one you got. Very nice!!

Here is a picture of model 74923 which is definitely lower in the rider area.

Webike has both seats, it's just that sometimes depending on how you searched for items, they don't both easily show-up. I now know that the seat I ordered last month is the lower 723 seat.

Today I ordered the 722 seat (from Webike), to gauge which one I like better. When I finally get my butt satisfied, I'll be offering one of the Cozy seats, and the stock seat for sale--on this forum. That should be in a few weeks.

This hobby never ceases to be expensive!
I'll be keeping an eye on the classifieds, Thumper!
E-clubman.com describes the Honda accessory seat as being 40mm higher than the stock Japan market seat. That would put it at 815mm(32 inches). That's 20 mm higher than the stock US market seat.

Combined with its greater width, the seat should provide more leg room for taller riders. Part number for the vinyl seat is OSK-ZX-MGC07. Global.rakuten.com has it for 36,900 yen or about $390 plus shipping. Very tempting!
Well, I really like it. It does feel taller than the stock seat, but I'm 6'4", so it works for me. It also doesn't push you toward the tank like the stock seat does, another perk. I could actually see myself taking some fairly long rides on this seat.

That's good to hear. This is something I noticed my first few rides. I'm only 6' and it's been a bother to me. I'm planning on this being my first mod once I save up the money.
I notice that Daytona also manufactures the flexible chrome strips for the tank flanges that match the chrome strip on the bottom of their Cozy seats. Just like in the old days.
