My last two bikes I had a pair of MotoLights. Very high quality 35 watt halogens. The guy who bought my bike wanted the MotoLights so I let them go.
Over on ADVrider on the vender forum, there are many LED's being sold. I bought a pair of 10 watt LED's for about $109 shipped to my door. They are Mondomotos MM10 Bullets. I made a mounting bracket out of some aluminum stock I had laying around. They are very solid little buggers.





I like them down low, it gives a better triangle for oncoming traffic to see me.



Will have to do a midnight run here and get them adjusted to my liking. If one car out of ten flash their brights at me, I know I have them set about right.

Tthose should light up the night ole.

Hummm, maybe you could make up and sell some of those brackets...

How did you connect the wiring?

How are we set for available wattage for accessories on the CB? LEDS use very little, but after the cold in Daytona this year I'm thinking of connecting the harness for my electric clothes/gloves etc.

How did you connect the wiring?

It goes pretty easy if one removes the gas tank. They came with a nice pre wired kit.
relay, fuse holder, on/off switch, and two quick disconnects down by the lights. I go against the grain and wire them hot to the battery. I don't tap the hot lead into a key activated wire. I want to be able to use them with the key off.
I wanted to mount them to the fender bolt but decided the fender bolt was not substantial enough. The fender bolt on our CB is frigging tiny. So I made some brackets and put them on the caliper bolts. They are beefier. That is where I had my Motolights mounted for about 80000 miles. They only came loose once but that was on The Dalton Hy north of Fairbanks. That road is something else,,,,,

Couple questions
Is there are a reason you could not simply turn them 90degrees and simple mount them to that locations without the bracket. Even if it required an aluminum tubular small spacers to get the distance from fork correct? Asking because I love this and really am pro lighting to see and be seen.
I often am on country roads at night. Do these have enough throw to help?
What is the awesome cowl you have?

I believe if you were to turn them 90 degrees would you possibly lose the vertical adjustment. Or could use still turn them enough to adjust them...

But it is a good thought. I had to think for a moment on that. And still thinking..

I cant answer that question as I have not done a night road test yet to see if I have them adjusted right. But they cant hurt? I did an un scientific test in my basement.

My CB was parked on the centerstand 27 away from my wall.

LOW BEAM ONLY:



HIGH BEAM ONLY:



10 WATT LED's ONLY:



Again, I am certain these will need adjusting as I see fit after a night run. But I am sure people will see me better now:


The mini fairing is a Chic Design with a touring screen. I did think about using spacers but I did not have any the right size in my metal stock pile so I just used what I had. Which was some aluminum stock which I bent by hand.

I think spacers would work but not on the fender bolt. It is tiny and it is screwed into an acorn nut. I have not had much luck with acorn nuts on past bikes. The bolt can bottom out and not be tight if you dont have the correct length.

Thanks for the feedback. How about those clear lenses? Like the cleaner look for the front signals.
