The CB1100 Community Forum

Well today I went Monkey shopping, as I just cant seem to get the idea of my CB having a little brother out of my head, LOL.. I was shopping for the ABS version, that has an MSRP of $4200.00 . One dealer showed me a price of $5500 out the door, before negotiation, but did not comment further because he had them on order, not on hand.

Another dealer I went to quoted me $4762.00 out the door, and had the bike on the floor. I had also copied the sales receipt a seller on EBay posted on his Monkey ABS up for auction, which showed he had paid $4869.00 out the door. Last I saw it, he was down to a $3600 asking price, so I am guessing he had buyers remorse for whatever reason.

So, my question for those of my Forum Brothers that have already purchased a Monkey, how did the pricing go? I dont imagine there is a whole lot of margin in them, and then with freight, and TT&L, $4762.00 does not look unreasonable at the moment.

i saw the hondabill for my dealer....his win is only round 350sfr here or some like this....if i remember right....

That sounds about right, though OTD prices aren't comparable due to different tax jurisdictions. I bought my '19 ABS in December 2018. I paid $4,199 MSRP, $195 freight, and $125 doc fee (plus sales tax and title/registration, which varies by locale). In my area, sales tax is 4.1% and title/registration was $176.
