Thought I would try to stop my donations to the NZ Police Christmas party fund as well as preserving my license so I bought an Adaptiv TPX 2.0. Fitting kit and mounting brackets all well presented and easy to fit. Is that some kind of radar detector? They have instant on laser here now. By the time a radar detector picks it up and warns you you are busted, and if you have a radar detector they will not forgive you.

Yes it is, TPX Radar and Laser Detection System 2.0, now with increased sensitivity and more mode functions! , the company http://www.adaptivtechnologies.com, makes or manufactures motorcycle accessories including a product called "Farkle Fingers" plus illuminated hi vis jackets and other kit.
Fortunately detectors are legal in NZ and my experience to date is that I have been warned many times of possible/actual speed detection units in my car by having a detector, so it makes sense to have one that is transferable to any of my vehicles that is weather resistant.
