Bought this as a demo at a good price with the first service done. Came with 603 miles. Figured I'd share the first two things I've done.

I like a little fender, just cleaned up a bit.....now get some sound out of that thing.
I've been looking into exhausts and slip ons. I'll make up my kind eventually. It is indeed waaaay too quiet.

Thanks. I modified your execution of the tail light/fender delete. I'm also using the stock tail on a custom bracket and made a splash guard out of some sturdy black ABS. Doing it this way though, really doesn't give you any room for a plate bracket. Which is I guess why you are running your plate where you are.....
I'm going to try something a little different and see how it comes out. I'll post pictures of what I come up with then.
yea, it definitely didn't leave a lot of room. But i kinda love the low off to the side plate.
how are the bars feeling!? they don't hit the tank at all right?
The bars are awesome. Being a little more over the tank changes the way the bike feels completely. And no, they don't hit. Brake side is no more than 2mm away though. Clutch side is about 5mm. I had to flip the switches on the clutch side which you can see in the top picture if you look closely.
Flipping the risers around was a necessity as well. No way they'd clear without doing that. Even with the switches flipped, everything is still easily accessible. And I like the new position of the turn signal switch! Haha
In general it took a good amount of time messing with everything to get these bars to work, but obviously it is possible. I know a few people were wondering....

I'm looking to erase my fender too, but I'm thinking about replying the part of the rear fender on glass fiber. Also I bought a new Lucas style led tail light, looking for a new smaller blinker to start working on...
Just ordered a wide mouth megaphone muffler for the bike and switched up my lighting again. I dig this look and wanted to give an update....
The tail light is an aftermarket LED Ducati Monster tail light with integrated turns. It works great and fits rather well after some work. The wiring is very straight forward.
I used some black headliner trim clips I had laying around from a previous VW build to fill the holes left in the "luggage bars" where the turn signals used to be. Im pleased with how they look in there.
Looks bad ass!
