I just bought a 2017 ex a few weeks ago for 10K. Wish I could have bought an older model for much less. Then I would have had some extra money for a dirt bike. Nice having a bike like my 1971 cb750 that I had in my younger years. All 2017ex models are legal for California. Not all older models are. (per Honda motor company) strict emissions in California

Just to clear the air (no pun intended), all of the U.S. 2013, 2014, and 2017 CB1100's are 50-state compliant.
