But the CB1100 brake light is also the light for the license plate which by law must be white.

1157 is the cb tail/ brake light bulb
I think it was Webike World that tested many of these types of bulbs and wasn't very impressed with any of them.

Well doesn't that just stink. Now that puts a kabosh to any tail light modifications... Where at least just a bulb replacement is done.
If you have a different plate mount this is an option for you...
The only issues I saw on the webbike page was talking about the difference in wattages not being enough to make a noticeable difference between run light and brake light. If you go this route I would look at ensuring there was enough of a difference to show it.

If you have the stock tail light assembly as one pointed out earlier, these bulbs will not work and keep you legal with a white light on the license plate.
Now do you have a modification for your license plate light we don't know about? Maybe one of those RLET's shedding light on the plate??
I know on my Vulcan, I have a separate license plate light so it works like a charm.
Lol dBuster. In Mississippi they could careless about a light for your tag lol. Here we don't even have to have blinkers just use your arms it's still legal here! Horses and buggys have the rite of way same with tractors lol. This is the SOUTH!!
