I'm having "dirt road" in Tennessee do my seat. It will be the fifth seat he's done for me . He is good, fast, and reasonable. He sent me photos of his first CB1100 seat.
I'm considering a charcoal gray material called "Wave" for mine . He says he will make a "2-up" seat next. I'm trying to decide between the solo cafe style and the two up.

Good looking seat and the quality shows. Will I get one? Well, as they say, "No money, no honey".
Cheers

I just asked Eddie to make one for me just like his. He made a seat, or seats as the rider and pillion are separate, for my Yamaha FZ1. The stock seat on that bike is good for about 25-30 miles and then it is torture from then on. Eddie at the time had a FZ1 also and made me a seat like his, WOW I could ride all day. My wife had a couple of issues with her perch so Eddie said ship it back and he'll make it right---he paid for shipping. I've been over to his area and we've ridden together, good guy and a good rider.
Hey, gcarper, how are you? Haven't seen you around for a bit.

I'm good, been fooling around with another bike. Sold my FZ1 and bought a VFR 800a. Certainly not as quick as the FZ, but a superb mountain road bike. Also has good seating for wife [ even better than the CB ] so that's a plus. Still enjoying the CB, nothing quite like it, in fact Eddie [ seat maker ] pumped me about the CB and purchased his after I told him how much I liked it.
So does he redo the stock seat to look like that solo one, or does he build it from scratch?
And how much does he charge for something like that?

My son is starting to get the hots for another bike. He's had his Gen 1 FZ-1 for 8 years now. He thought about an FZ 09 until he rode one. Now he's lazer focused on the new VFR 800. So..good bike eh?

In my opinion a new iteration in a line of the best sport tourers ever made. 1986 to now a beautiful motorcycle. Don't know about the VFR1200. Different beast really, more akin to the big Beemers, or the FJR. If it's a sport tourer your son is after then he couldn't buy a better bike. And you keep off it Dad.
Cheers

yea right. I will ride it the day he brings it home. He will insist!
When I bought my 13 CB 1100 he went with me, and half way home I stopped so he could ride it the rest of the way home. We have that kind of relationship.
