If anyone has a photo of a Puig windscreen mounted on their CB1100 please post and list any positives and negatives. Thanks.

I have one and love it. But I only ride around town though. For the road, I want a bigger shield.
Thanks popgun. I'd seen the thread you sent and found others. Figured if 1-2 photos posted and pros/cons would help in deciding. Also Puig has many that fit or are adaptable to CB1100. Preferably the screens that fit around the headlight.
I guess some pros are, the Plus was cheap at around $95, is easy to install, and looks pretty good. It did take off a lot of wind blast and provides some light rain protection (surprizingly) and mine has stopped a lot of bugs, and one good size rock thrown up by a car. It made a mark that won't buff out
Puig Plus is super easy to put on and take off. It looks great plus it doesn't radically alter the look of the bike. It provides decent protection for a screen of it's type, and despite its simple mounting it doesn't budge at 100 mph. Depending on you height, the screen could produce some wind noise.
I'm 6'1" and was getting annoyed at the "flag whipping" noise it made against my helmets above 45mph.
I did get one off Amazon for less than $100...I'm not sure it helps much, but it doesn't take away from the looks and does install just by loosing the two headlamp bolts ( I did need to re-adjust my headlight angle).
The biggest complaint I have is the gap between the shield and the headlamp allows for some reflection of the headlight back into the rider's eyes. I stuffed a black micro-fiber towel in there for now (which is nice to have handy for sunglasses and face shields) but it needs a more permanent fix or better yet, just fit closer so there is no gap.

I blew up the pic for a closer look and I think you have the mounting brackets on backwards or wrong sides. This is pushing the shield forward so that it sticks out over the headlight. My brackets are mounted with that little hole up and toward the rear and the shield is around the chrome ring.

Thanks! I'll have to take another look at it. I thought I tried them both ways, but it's worth another try!
I know it's $60 more, but if you're in the market for this type of screen, you shoukd give the Dart Flyscreen a look. It's custom-made for our bikes, including a very handsome custom headlight bracket in a matching silver finish. It'll give you quiet air up to 90, it comes in smoke or clear, and the customer service has been outstanding.
