I LOVE the Deluxe, especially the four into two exhausts, but my hatred for red trumped all else. So I got the 2014 standard, and although there are days I wish I had gotten the deluxe and just gotten a paint job on the tank and other red parts, I figured I could at least upgrade the seat. So here's the results. It's also got a windshield on it, but you can't see how nice it actually looks in these pics.

The black is growing on me.

Looks nice!

For embedding images, I registered a free imgur account, upload everything there, then use the direct links (there are also direct links for different sizes, like original, large, thumbnail, etc.)
I'm with ya Riverhustler. If the DLX came in black I would have a DLX, but then probably lots of other CB owners would too and then the Dark Side wouldn't be such an elite group.

I really like the seat- and thought I would on the STD. Any other plans for your CB?

Yeah, there's a thread on here on a ECU reflash, and dyno adjustment so I might do that. Other than that, I'm going to look into a 4 into 2 exhaust but it's so expensive, and almost not worth it. If I stick with the current 4 into 1, I might use some black fiberglass exhaust tape... and I may also get some different mirrors with the flashing signals. I think that's about it, but it gets pretty addictive.

Cool idea with the pipes, I would like to see that, but I'll skip on the power adders- I came into the CB through the Sport bike progression and am trying to slow down a bit.

Now this may be pricey but I (and another strong influence) are looking into 2 into 1's with Black Supertrapps and blacked out pipes. I'll Photoshop this idea and see how it looks and if I don't like it then try it in stainless & chrome. If I don't like that then I'll wait for the aftermarket to pick my direction.

The license plate bracket has to go too. If I can't get the plate to look good where it is then I'll consider mounting it on or near the axle on the port side. With that done maybe black out @ 3" of chrome on the rear fender tip.

Just ideas, nothing in stone.
Looks good Riverhustler. Some of those after market seats look great.

Looks good. I love the factory red myself but my Road Star 1600 has nasty black. Whatever floats your boat, right?
How does this new seat compare in ride height? I lowered my pegs but still want to go with a little higher seat height. I really like the Hoda script on the back panel. Source & model?
Buffalorider it rides 1" higher, and the slant is much less so I can sit upright better as I'm 6'1. I love it.
Seat looks great on that fine looking black bike.
