Any Staintune owners know how to make the muffler louder? I like the sound but would like to have a little more bite. Suggestions?

I could have missed something in the forums, but I did a search and didn't find anything. Thanks Mark
I think some added headers from Samurider, that made it louder, "CB4ME" has them.
Also make sure you do the "Pair Valve" hose plug fix to control the uncontrolled deceleration gurgling sound.
I think several folks have combined cat free headers with the Staintune. I added Motogear Ti headers.

With the stock headers and Staintune, exhaust sound was drowned out by wind noise above 50 mph.

Aftrer adding open headers the bike is noticably louder and the exhaust doesn't get drowed out by wind noise at any speed.

I like the combination. Not too loud to be annoying (except when you really hit the gas), but a nice strong note.

I don't know of anyone who has modified a Staintune. It's an expensive investment.
No way possible. Looks like you need something else. I might be willing to buy your Staintune for next to nothing.

Joking aside, I am looking for a used Staintune, so if you decide to try something else, keep me in mind. I posted a wanted ad over in the classifieds.
Check out the Arrow exhaust. It has a removeable baffle, and you can take the packing out too.
Thanks for the info. Looks like the answer to my question is 1. No I can't modify the Staintune muffler and 2. The un-decider would like me to pay him to take my Staintune! Thanks for your impute guys!!

Do not worry, you do not have to pay me at all to take it off your hands, just pay the postage to NC !
